Swimming Lesson Ready!
Our how-to on Swimming Lessons
With summer on the horizon it’s more important than ever for our kids to be confident around water. Here are our top tips for a smooth transition into this exciting milestone for your little ones, as they become their own water explorer.
Start Early:
Babies are often more adaptable and comfortable in the water when introduced at a young age. This is also a lovely bonding activity for this stage and from our very own experience has been a great way to learn ways to support our children’s development.
Stay Calm and Encouraging:
Maintain a calm, positive, and enthusiastic attitude. If your child is hesitant, be patient and encourage them gently. Make it feel like it’s a new and exciting adventure.
Consistent Routine & Pre-Swim Ritual:
Consistency helps babies and toddlers feel secure and comfortable in the water. Make it a weekly ritual ~ play their favourite song, do a little dance, and let them wear their favourite swim nappy or rashie!
Pack & Prepare:
Make it an effortless process for you too! Pack an extra Swim Nappy, just in case of mishaps. Take along a Wet Bag to pack wet swimmers for the ride home. Our Medium and Large Wet Bags have two zipped compartments to easily keep wet and dry separate.
